Two employees of the American Red Cross, Greater Richmond Chapter, left today for Gilbert, West Virginia to help with the flooding response efforts. Rosa Ronccales and Daniel Hallihan will both work in damage assessment.

Damage assessment is a critical part of the operation as it gives the Red Cross an idea of the size and scope of the disaster so the organization can foresee how many people and other resources need to be sent to the affected areas. It also helps the Red Cross predict how many funds need to be raised.

To help these and other disaster victims, please mail monetary donations to the American Red Cross, P.O. Box 655, Richmond, Virginia 23218, call 804-780-2250 or make a secured on-line donation on our website.
